Donated Materials
Schools and students in Kandahar really need as much pencils, paper, chalks and books as we can provide. Unfortunately, it just not possible to receive collected or donated materials from Canada.
The costs of transporting the materials to Kandahar, even if subsidized by Canadian post, is usually much greater than the value of the goods. Also, it takes appreciable time, effort and expense to pick up or customs-clear the materials in Kandahar. It also exposes our dedicated team to needless risk.
The best way to help the children in Afghan schools is to donate money. School materials are much cheaper in Kandahar than Canada, so you can help more children. Also, your donation has double impact – not only does it help Afghan children, your dollars help build the Kandahar economy.
